Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Peshevski of Macedonia will headed his country's official delegation and on March 23, 2011 gave opening remarks.

Letters of Appreciation

Ambassador Robert Hunter, Senior Advisor to RAND Corporation and former US Ambassador to NATO moderated the heads of state/government panel on March 23, 2011.  

President Filip Vujanovic of Montenegro headed his country's official delegation and on March 23, 2011 gave a keynote speech. 

The US-Balkans Business Summit received tremendous support from state, federal and international governments for this first-ever event.  Since this international event was held in Maryland at the University of Baltimore, Governor Martin O'Malley personally invited the Heads of State and Government to participate.  Copies of Governor O'Malley's invitation letters to the Heads of State from each country in the Western Balkans may be accessed here:  Official Invitation Letters.​

The US–Balkans Business Summit reinforced cooperation among the countries in the Western Balkans and encouraged their integration into Europe.

The summit assisted in developing trade and investment between the Western Balkans and the United States.

Deputy Prime Minister Mimoz Kusari-Lila of Kosovo headed her country's official delegation and on March 23, 2011 gave opening remarks. 

Tom Countryman, Deputy Assistant Secretary, US Department of State gave a keynote speech on March 23, 2011.  

President Bakir Izetbegovic, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, headed his country's official delegation and on March 23, 2011 gave a keynote speech.
